Fundraise at Downstage

In addition to supporting community programs such as Young and Hungry and the Wellington Community Trust, Downstage is also committed to helping community organisations with fundraising. If you and your group or organisation are looking to raise money and the thought of hitting the streets with a raffle book doesn't appeal, a night at Downstage could be the answer.

Our fundraising structure is very simple; we provide discounted tickets to community groups and organisations that can then be on-sold at the regular price with your group keeping the difference. The amount that you can raise depends on the number of tickets that you sell. For groups of 10 and over you can raise $7 per full price ticket sold. For groups of 50 and more you can raise $10 per full price ticket sold all the way up to raising $2500 for a full house (250 seats).

The added appeal of fundraising with us is that a Downstage performance is also a fantastic event for your group or organisation. If you have a full house, you will be welcome to make a speech or presentation in the auditorium before the show starts and perhaps even mix and mingle with the cast afterwards.

We can also help organise transport to and from Downstage with special discounted prices from NZ Bus. Avoid the hassle of parking and public transport with return trips from as little as $6 per person.
